This research aims to analyze the utilization of the abacus as a mathematical tool and its implementation in mathematics education at SDN Banyuanyar 2, Sampang, East Java. The research methodology employed is a case study approach, involving data collection through classroom observations, teacher interviews, and analysis of school curriculum-related documents. The research findings indicate that the incorporation of the abacus into the educational process has yielded positive outcomes, particularly enhancing students' understanding of fundamental mathematical concepts. Teachers play a pivotal role in facilitating the effective integration of this mathematical tool into the curriculum and devising pedagogical strategies. Nevertheless, the research also identifies several challenges in the abacus implementation, such as the need for more comprehensive training and sufficient resources. These findings can serve as a valuable reference for other educational institutions considering the adoption of the abacus as an instructional aid in mathematics education.
