Abstract

The Arabic language has two basic sentences: the nominal sentence and the verbal sentence. The nominal sentence: It is the one that begins with a noun, and it has two basic pillars that must be present in it, in order for it to be useful speech. If one of them is omitted, it is appreciated, namely: the subject and the predicate.

Hence the choice to study the phenomenon of presentation in the nominal structure, through models in Surat Al-Baqarah, to find out the reasons for presentation in the patterns of the nominal sentence, and the consequent resetting of the text, and the implications this phenomenon leads to serve the general context; I had made a similar study of this phenomenon, which is the presentation of the verbs in the same surah, and I found that this phenomenon has grammatical connotations that serve the general context of the text.

In this study, I will present with a brief explanation of the concept of the subject and the predicate, and the cases of obligation, permissibility and abstention of submission as mentioned in Arabic books. It contains evidence with some explanation. I hope that the scholars will benefit from it.

The research came in three sections:

The first: grammatical concepts in which I dealt with the concept of each of the subject and the predicate, the sections of the predicate, the cases of presenting the predicate, and the delay of the subject.

The second: the phenomenon of presenting the news to the subject in the complete sentence. (Examples from Surat Al-Baqarah)

The third: the phenomenon of presenting the news to the subject of the subject in the sentences of the nawasikh. (Samples from Surat Al-Baqarah)
