About the Journal

MAQASIDI: Jurnal Syariah dan Hukum is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to the dissemination of research and academic discourse in the fields of Sharia and legal studies. The journal publishes high-quality original research articles, conceptual papers, field studies, and literature reviews contributed by academics, researchers, legal practitioners, and scholars.

Published biannually in June and December, MAQASIDI is managed and published by the Islamic Criminal Law Program (Hukum Pidana Islam), Department of Sharia and Islamic Economics, STAIN Teungku Dirundeng Meulaboh, Aceh Barat, Indonesia. The journal aims to become an academic forum for the development of Islamic legal thought and contemporary legal discourse at national and international levels.

MAQASIDI focuses on studies related to Islamic law, sharia, and contemporary legal issues through both library research and field research approaches. The journal encourages interdisciplinary and critical studies that contribute to the advancement of legal scholarship and the practical implementation of justice and sharia values in society.

The journal holds P-ISSN 2798-981X and E-ISSN 2798-9801, and has been accredited SINTA 5 based on the Decree of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology Number 72/E/KPT/2024.
