Abstract

Pragmatism or deliberativeism emerged as an approach to the study of language within modern linguistics, stemming from philosophical origins known as analytical philosophy in Western thought, and when Arab scholars translated this intellectual production, they differed in translating this term according to their orientations, cultures and cognitive origins, resulting in a multiplicity of terms indicating the concept of pragmatism. This research attempts to study these terms and their translations in the Arabic lesson, and how close they are to their concepts in the Western lesson.
