Correction and Retraction

Correction and Retraction

ICIE is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the scholarly record. The journal recognizes the importance of correcting published articles when errors or issues are identified and of retracting articles when the validity or ethical integrity of the research is seriously compromised.

Corrections: Corrections may be issued when errors are identified in a published article that affect its accuracy, clarity, or interpretation but do not invalidate the overall findings or conclusions. Such errors may include factual inaccuracies, typographical errors that affect meaning, errors in data presentation, or other relevant mistakes. Requests for corrections will be evaluated by the editorial team, and approved corrections will be published transparently and linked to the original article where appropriate.

Retractions: Retraction may be considered when substantial evidence indicates that a published article contains unreliable findings due to significant errors or research misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, or other serious violations of publication ethics. Retraction may also be considered when there are serious ethical concerns regarding the research or publication process. All cases will be carefully assessed by the editorial team in accordance with recognized publication ethics principles and applicable journal policies.

Editorial Process: Decisions regarding corrections and retractions will be made following an appropriate investigation and, where necessary, communication with the authors and relevant institutions. Authors may be invited to provide explanations or supporting evidence before a final decision is reached. Any correction or retraction notice will clearly explain the reason for the editorial action and maintain an appropriate link to the original publication to ensure transparency.

The journal aims to handle all cases fairly, consistently, and promptly, while protecting the integrity of the scholarly record and upholding the principles of academic responsibility and publication ethics.
